Chasing My Latest Dream

I feel my mind begin to wisen
Watching the sun rise just above the horizon

Passing horses grazing their fog covered fields
Like a sword their presence wields

I wake up as others lay at rest
A subtle way of me becoming the best

I’m headed to claim my victory
Not settling for anything contradictory

These days, it seems to be my theme
Out among this Earth, chasing my latest dream

This life is about more than just surviving
As for me, you’ll catch me thriving
For greatness and purity, I’m striving
And to the pillars of life, I’m just now arriving

No I’m not perfect, but I promise you I’m trying
For a shot at first place, I’m vying
And to get there, everything I’ve got, I’m supplying

But I’ll tell you what makes me free
This feeling that I so clearly see
That knowing that I wanna be like me
