The Never Ending Tomorrow

By Jeremy Kendrick

They say the future is here
They say the future is now
They say the future is here
And yet I’m not quite sure how

Amongst our boxes we roam
Looking for the places that we can call home

Today or tomorrow
I’m not sure what exactly to know

Sometimes life can be bleak
But I guess they say, that’s just for the weak

Don’t fret, don’t cry, have no sorrow
There’s always the never ending tomorrow

I wonder, what has life come to be
When all I really know to be true is me

Feel the grass beneath your feet
Realize there are no battles you need to beat

You are here and you are now
We are all here, whether we know why or whether we know how

It’s you and me against the world
No matter where in life we all are hurled
