The Fog

By Jeremy Kendrick

Fog lays its arms over the Ohio Valley with such grace
Sometimes I forget how lucky I am just to have this place
How lucky I am to have such beauty in such an unforgettable space

The hills roll against the skyline
Hard to believe they’re all mine

Don’t ever underestimate where we are
Somewhere people think seems so far
Yet perfection lies here, reminding us of who we truly are

Shine on, my almighty sun
For life, under your grasp, is comparable to none
The grace I feel under you is something I pray can never be undone

Another day I rise with you
Another day I pray to be true
Another day I’m reminded there’s nothing I cannot do
