The Endless Tokyo Lights
I didn’t come here to brag
In fact I’m here to throw my white flag
As I sit here cozy in my bathrobe
I reminisce on the fact that I’ve been across the globe
I’ve seen the world and I’ve seen the sights
I’ve seen the twinkle in the endless Tokyo lights
Once you’ve seen the world and what she has in her pocket
You’ll see there’s so much more than you thought to be put on your docket
I’ve roamed the streets of Japan
Only to see that I’m no greater than any woman or man
I think we tend to forget that we all exist as one
Not one of us better than the other one
For Kentucky is where I call home
But as perfect as she is, across this world I beg you to roam
I’ve seen the world and I’ve got my fix
I’ve had my thrills and I’ve had my kicks
I realize there’s not a single moment I need to nix
Meditate on the thoughts of the the world’s unknown
Embrace the fact that you’ve seen it all and felt it in every bone
