That Sweet Taste of Bourbon
Here in Kentucky, nothing feels more urban
Than when you’re hit with that sweet taste of bourbon
From Seattle to Poughkeepsie
They all come here to get a little tipsy
I’ve found it all across this fabulous planet
Thinking to myself, it can’t be that serious, can it?
That rush of caramel, vanilla and wood-fired oak
Reminding us simple folk, don’t fix it if it ain’t broke
Something tried and true that has lasted hundreds of years
All with that same timeless phrase, let’s all have a cheers
A place where a single shared drink can mean community
A place where something so simple brings a sense of unity
Bourbon brings about a bond
Something of which I’ve grown so fond
Sit back, kick your feet up, have a sip
A moment like this isn’t one you’ll want to skip
